o    New Organizational Divisions - ARC is now organized into six volunteer divisions: 1-Financing, 2-Marketing,
       3-Support, 4-Route, 5-Racers, and 6-Airplane
. Board members are working behind the scenes throughout the
       year for the annual events.

o    New Sponsor Levels - from "Racing Fans" to "Full Throttle" these new levels allow everyone to participate at
a level that matches their goals. ARC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

o    New Electronic Interactive Entry Forms -"Green" entry with less forms to submit and options to submit
electronically. For 2010 ARC will be accepting electronically submitted forms. All entry forms will be available
as documents that can be filled in electronically by the race teams. Only one copy of each form is required
and they may be sent electronically.

o    Entry Fee Changes - credit for initial ARC Registration Kits – For each team that enters the 2010 race, they
will receive a $30 credit (from their Registration Kit purchase) toward their Entry Fee.

o    Collegiate Entries now eligible for "Collegiate Racer Fund - Showcase Your School" Entry Discount.
A $100 discount will apply to a collegiate team entry when they provide a “Showcase Your School” package
for the ARC Silent Auction. The ARC Silent Auction is a key provider of ongoing funds for the Collegiate
Racer Fund.

o    Entry Discounts for Non-Competition Entries – ARC will continue to provide a 20% discount off the ARC
entry fee for teams that wish to enter the Non-Competition Class of the race.

o    Entry Number Drawing Changes - includes a FREE ARC 2010 race entry for one lucky race team!
Entries will be accepted for 2010 starting January 2, 2010. Entries are stamped by the date that a complete
entry is received. A complete entry contains your team applications plus photographs and entry fee
(See Registration Kit Form E-03 for details). An airplane entry form is not necessarily part of that package,
but must be submitted by airplane entry deadlines. All complete entries received by February 15, 2010 will
be eligible to be entered in the “Top Ten Drawing” held February 26, 2010, at the Women in Aviation,
International convention, Orlando, FL. Ten entries will be randomly drawn and assigned the first ten race
numbers. Once the ten numbers have been assigned, the remainder of the race numbers to date will be
assigned by the date their complete entry was received.

Immediately following the “Top Ten” drawing all the entries received by the drawing deadline will be placed
in a hat and reshuffled for the final drawing to receive a free 2010 entry (entry fee only).

o    Handicaps Unique for Each Airplane Entry – New this year is that each airplane entered will have its
own unique 2010 race handicap. This handicap will be based on that airplane’s individual performance. ARC
Handicap check flights will be flown by each team entered. Handicapping flight results, historical data and
both airplane and modification reference materials will be determining factors. Provisional handicaps for each
of the current year’s entries will be published in the Racer Only section of the ARC website as soon as
possible after all entries have been approved. Review the ARC 2010 Rules & Regulations included with the
Registration Kit for more details and airplane entry deadlines.

o    Revised Airplane Inspection Procedures – There will be some streamlining changes to the airplane
inspection procedures to reflect the changes being made to the airplane handicap procedures. Airplanes at
the Start will receive visual and paperwork inspections. Static run-up checks will not be required this year.

o    More Online Resources – The ARC website is in the process of being redesigned and ARC is working
closely with volunteers and other organizations to provide a user friendly, informative and educational race
site. Look for more changes coming in 2010.

How to Volunteer:
It takes many to make this race fly each year. YOU can be one of those unique individuals. Volunteers are needed as
host/hostesses, ramp coordinators, drivers, registration desk assistants, timers, airplane inspectors, banquet organizers,
security personnel, food/beverage providers, and many other jobs that make this race successful.  You don’t have to be
a pilot, but someone interested in helping this venture.
