Submit Pictures How To

Every year thousands of pictures are taken of the Air Race Classic. Unfortunately we never had a way to share those with everyone, that is until now. Racer and race supporters can now contribute their pictures to the ARC web site. Just follow the directions below to start contributing!

1. Log in to the web site. You must have a username to do this. If you do not, just go to the upper right side of the website and click on Create new account. Once done, follow the steps and log in.

2. Click on Pictures in the navigation bar.

3. Click on the year for which you want to submit pictures. If you have older picture you wish to submit, please put them in the correct folder for archival purposes.

4. Right below 2008 you will see tabs, click on the Mass Import tab.

5. Click on Browse and navigate to the pictures on your desktop, then click Open.

6. Do this for all the pictures you have. Unfortunately the site will only allow you to submit five at a time.

7. Once you have your five pictures selected, click on Upload. Your computer will process briefly (how brief depends on your internet connection), when it's done it will return you to the folder view page.

*The pictures submitted to the site take the name of your file (i.e., if your file is name ARC123.jpg, this is the name it will have on the site).

8. If you have time, please go find your pictures and give them meaningful titles. Just click on the picture title and change the Title: block and maybe add a short description of what the picture shows in the Body: block.

That's it! You've contributed to the web site! Please submit any pictures you have. We often have request for pictures from various media sources and we only have a limited number right now. Be advised, by submitting your pictures to the ARC web site you authorize the Air Race Classic to use your picture in any way they see fit to promote the race. if you have any questions, contact webmaster@airraceclassic.org.
